Ann C. Perger, 85, Wausau, longtime Phillips resident, died on Monday, January 18, 2016, at the Mount View Rehabilitation Center, Wausau.
She was born on October 14, 1930, on the family homestead in the Town of Harmony the daughter of Anton and Anna (Gura) Lach.
She was a lifelong Phillips resident until she made her home in Wausau to be near her children due to ill health.
She attended and graduated from Phillips High School with the Class of 1948.
She was married to James Perger on August 21, 1948, in Phillips. Following their marriage she was a homemaker to her husband James and their five children. Her husband James preceded her in death on December 5, 2011.
She was a member of St Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, the Council of Catholic Women, and the Harmony Homemakers.
In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her five daughters: Barbara Eisenhauer, Waupaca, Gloria Fellin,, Cudahy Diane (Doug) Lizak, Wausau, Colleen Lawson, Madison, and Connie (Dave Kreager) Perger, Wausau, 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren with 1 additional great grandchild expected in April, by 1 brother-in-law John Perger, Catawba, and 1 sister-in-law Louise Lach, Wausau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband James, by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 22, 2016, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, Wi., with Fr. Gerald Hagen officiating.
Interment will be in the St. Patrick’s Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. on Friday, January 22, 2016, at the church until the time of the service.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips is in charge of the arrangements.
