
(veteran) Wayne R. Wartgow
age 68, of Butternut, died on Saturday March 12, 2016 at Ministry St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston. He was born on July 7, 1947 in Butternut, the son of William and Ella (Scherwinski) Wartgow. His early life and schooling were in Butternut. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. On April 28, 1979 he married Ona Mae Yonker-Dalton. The couple lived in Milwaukee, where Wayne worked for Briggs & Stratton until 1997 when they moved to Park Falls. Wayne was a generous and kind hearted man who enjoyed playing and watching basketball and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Ona in 1998.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday March 18, 2016 at 11:00am from Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls. Rev. Dale Heinlein will officiate.
Burial will follow with military honors under the auspices of the Park Falls American Legion Post at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.
A visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
