Dean Wayland Edwardson, 76, passed away unexpectedly at his winter home in Granite Shoals, Texas on March 15, 2016. He was the son of Elmer and Lenore (Vogel) Edwardson, born on June 19, 1939 in Edgerton, Wisconsin.
Dean graduated from Milton Union High school in 1957 and then proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. He was then employed at Wisconsin Electric Company for 30 years in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. After his retirement he worked for the U.S. Forest Service in Park Falls, Wisconsin.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, making homemade wine, and always had many projects keeping him busy, but never to busy for a visit from family and friends. His sense of humor and carefree living created an atmosphere that people loved to be around. His annual canoe trip over Fathers Day weekend was just one of the many events that rallied family and friends. He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, Big Brothers and Sisters Programs, the Lugerville Chasers, ATV club, and the American Legion Post #0532 in Fifield. His most recent bucket list accomplishment was the purchase of his “Harley Davidson.” He will be missed by many.
Dean is survived by his children, Leann (Jon) Dehnert, Lori (Antonino) Herrera and Ronald Edwardson, four grandchildren, Adam and Marlee Dehnert, Victoria and Contessa Herrera, two sisters, Joan (William) Jorgensen, and Marlene (Dave) Wallace, and several nieces and nephews.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Lenore (Snort) Edwardson and brother-in-law, William Jorgensen.
Celebration of Life Services will be held on March 29th at 1100 a.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Park Falls, Wisconsin. Inurnment will be held with Military Honors at the Forest Home Cemetery in Fifield, Wisconsin following the Service.
