(Veteran)  Alexander Frank Warshall, age 97 of Butternut, died on March 22, 2016 at his home.  He was born on January 20, 1919 in Milwaukee. The son of Frank and Mary (Grabowski) Warshall.  His early life were in Milwaukee.

He joined the Army in 1941, serving in WWII and Korea, he reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before retiring from the service in 1966 he then moved to Butternut.  In 1978 he married Barbara Vogelmann in Milwaukee.  He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.

 

He is survived by:

Dave, Sheryl, Rick, Kathy, Wayne, Debbie, and Karen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, (3)Sisters: Dorothy, Kathy, Rose, (1)Infant sibling.

 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Novitzke Funeral Home Chapel in Park Falls.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday April 9, 2016 at 10:00 am until the our of service at Novitzke Funeral Home Chapel.

 

Military Honors will follow the service under the auspice of the Butternut Legion Post.
