Alice A. McCorison (Kaleski)

age 87, of Glidden, went home to meet her Lord and Savior on July 8, 2016 at the Ashland Rehab Center with all four of her loving children and several grandchildren by her side.

Alice was born at home on June 20, 1929 in Peeksville (Glidden), to John and Francis (Wolf) Kaleski.  On February 10, 1948 Alice married Byron “Barney” McCorison in Glidden, where they continued to live their entire lives.

Alice retired from the Home Health Care Program in Ashland county after 20 years.  She was loved by all of her patients for the kindness and compassion and respect she showed them.  Alice was also never too proud to work at various jobs to help supplement the family’s income, and in doing so, she could provide the little extras for her family.  She would clean houses and provide private home health care over many years where she truly found great joy in caring for others.  Her family will be forever grateful for all of her hard work and the sacrifices she made for them over the years.  She was truly a one-in-million kind of mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  As you can well imagine, Alice’s greatest joys came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She will long be remembered as the “cookie” grandma!  She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, bingo and an occasional trip to the casino.  She was a lifelong Badgers and Packers fan.

Alice is survived by her four children: Rose (D.J.) Mills of Chippewa Falls, Lyle (Sandy) McCorison of Glidden, Jim (Robin) McCorison of Altoona, and Brenda (Dan) BeBeau of Peeksville (Glidden), (12)grandchildren, (24)great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Byron, (2)brothers: Gerald & John Kaleski, and (3)sisters: Irene Segel, Catherine Kaleski, and Mary Kaleski.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday July 16, 2016 at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Glidden.  Fr. Dean Buttrick will officiate.  A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30am until the hour of the service at the church.

Alice’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Ashland Rehab Center for all of their wonderful care while mom was a patient there.

Alice will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

The Novitzke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
