Travelers are on the roadways this time of year to either go to their summer vacation destination or to spend time with family and friends. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has tips when it comes to maintaining your vehicle for vacation travel and also for everyday use. Michelle Reinen is from DATCP.
Before hiring a technician it is wise to do research.
If your vehicle breaks down, while traveling, make sure you approve repairs before having them done.
If your vehicle needs to be towed, Michelle Reinen says that you should make sure the towing service is legitimate.
If you have questions about repair services you can contact DATCP’s Consumer Protection Hotline at 1-800-422-7128, email [email protected], or go to datcp.wi.gov.
